What is the 30-second CPS test?

The 30-second CPS test is squarely a fatigue test. Nobody sustains their burst rate for half a minute: a typical curve starts near your 5-second pace, sags 15–25% through the middle, and either stabilizes or collapses over the final ten seconds depending on your form and grip.

What is a good score?

A steady 5–7 CPS across 30 seconds is respectable; keeping 8–9 CPS to the end without your rhythm breaking is excellent.

The finger fatigue curve

Maximal clicking is anaerobic work for the small flexor muscles in your forearm; they exhaust their quick energy in roughly 10–15 seconds, after which output depends on how efficiently you click. That is why the 30-second test rewards economy: a relaxed hand, motion from the finger joint only, and a rhythm steady enough to hum along to. Players who pace at about 85–90% of their burst speed almost always beat players who open at 100% and cramp — over a 30-second window, the smaller but flatter curve wins the click count.

FAQ

Why does my CPS collapse halfway through 30 seconds?

Your finger flexors run out of quick anaerobic energy after 10–15 seconds of maximal effort; opening slightly below full speed flattens the drop.

Should I pace myself on a 30-second test?

Yes — starting at about 85–90% of your burst speed usually produces a higher average than an all-out start followed by cramping.

Is my score saved?

Yes — your best 30s CPS is stored locally in your browser, nothing is uploaded.

Does a faster CPS help in games?

In Minecraft PvP and clicker games it can help, but accuracy and consistency matter more than raw speed.
